The project
For this project we were tasked with creating a musical instrument that can play a full scale. We had all of the materials in the classroom to make our instruments. Every group had to make at least one string instrument, one wind instrument, and 1 percussion instrument. me and my group decided to create a guitar, trumpet and glockenspiel.
Content:
Wave Length: The distance from crest to crest in a wave
Beats: when 2 sound waves of different frequencies hit your ear causing alternating constructive and destructive interference, making louder and quieter sounds
Trough: Lowest point on a wave
Frequency: number of waves pass per second
Medium: A substance that lets an energy travel from one place to another
Crest: Highest point on a wave
Destructive Interference: when 2 waves collide and their sizes subtract
Constructive Interference: When 2 waves collide and their sizes add

In this project me and my group worked well making our instruments but we should have worked as a group to point out the flaws in each other's plans we would have saved a lot of time. My high point was definitally after I finished my guitar because I wasn't a big fan of this project because I've never been very good with instruments and music in general. MY low point must have been when I had to redesign my whole instrument because of one miscalculation.
